Productive Muslim Seminar: The Definition of "Productivity"

 In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

All praise is for Allah, the Exalted.May Allah's peace and blessings be upon on Prophet Muhammad, his family and his Companions.

May Allah guide us to the Straight Path, save us from the Hellfire and admit us by His mercy into Paradise.

Well, I just want to share with you about the definition of PRODUCTIVITY based on the seminar (Productive Muslim)  that I have attended few days ago. (Sorry for my poor English ya?)

What is productivity actually?

According to a Western scholar which I could not remember his name (It is because I didn't copy his name in my note book!), productivity means;

PRODUCTIVITY = FOCUS + ENERGY (towards a beneficial goal)

Since we are a Muslim, the definition is slightly different.

PRODUCTIVITY = FOCUS + ENERGY (towards maximizing or rewards in Akhirat)

The Islamic definition suits us very well where we are here, in this world, trying so hard to seek for Allah's bless and get rewards in Akhirat.

How to be a productive Muslim?

Basically, it starts with an INTENTION. Our intention will reflect on our action and the outcome is either positive or negative. It depends on our intention.

Start your day with good intentions. Say: "Whatever I do today is because of Allah."

This is a piece of advice that I get from my favourite DJ; DJ Siti from IKIM.fm.

Why is it so important for us to be productive?

There are few reasons why we have to be a productive Muslim. The reasons are:

1. Path of messengers.
2. Key to success.
3. Give meaning to life.
4. Make our Prophet  proud.

Ask yourself why you have to be productive? Add the other relevant points if you want to.
